I know this person.

This person has started a non-profit disease awareness organization.

Which is a good thing.

But this person seems to keep sending me things reminding me of this,

particularly that he's being honored for it,

(like, in all caps with bad grammmer)

which, to me, seems quite un-important compared to people being more aware of the disease.

Point:

the message is important, not you,

I get it.
